We understand that making purchases online involves a great deal of trust on your part, we in turn, take this trust very seriously, and make it our highest priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide us with.
As a visitor to our Web site, www.sundreamstravel.com, you have the right to understand our privacy practices prior to providing us with any of your personal details.

 

The information that we collect from you

Sundreamstravel.com only collects information that you voluntarily provide to us when using any of our online forms. Our staff uses this information for the purposes of responding to and processing your requests for travel products and services. We also use your contacts to inform you of any changes to your itineraries. We may also send you marketing communications and any special offers or competitions available from time to time.

 

Who we share your information with

We do not share any of the information you send to us with any other companies or service providers unless authorised to do this by yourselves. Related information with any booking such as name, is obviously transferred to the service provider. Sundreamstravel – Malta does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Securing your booking

To secure your reservation you must pay the minimum deposit required. Unless this is done the service package offered may become unavailable or else the total price may rise. It is always recommended to secure the reservation of any service at the earliest as once this is done all the services that make up your purchase will be in turn blocked off under your name. All rates quoted on SunDreams Travel are inclusive of taxes and are applicable for online bookings, confirmed in real-time, with payment confirmation effected by credit card online. If booking or altering any of the services featured/booked online with one of our reservations staff (offline) a service fee of 5% is applicable on the total amount due. For groups, events and package deals all online rates are featured as “starting from” and will be subject to a confirmed quotation to be sent to you by our reservation staff. We do our best to honour these rates in our quotes too and reccomend that you plan ahead to get these packages confirmed at the featured rates. All pending quotes and unsettled amounts in any currency other than Euro are based on the stability of the said currency. In the rare case that there are huge fluctuations in the said currencies’ value the final quote or unsettled amount due may fluctuate accordingly. Credit card details will be retained as a guarantee. Any unpaid extras ordered and unpaid items left on account following your visit to our islands willbe charged to your credit card.

Hotel rates & terms

If the same holiday is found at a lower price somewhere else on the internet within 24 hrs from booking your holiday with Sun Dreams, kindly email us promptly and we will refund the difference to you. In your email you must include your booking reference number and putting the words ‘Price Match’ in the subject line, enclosing evidence of the lower price for example a screen shot and the full details of the lower rate along with the link or the contact where the offer was found. The lower rate must be available for booking with identical specifications of the original request (ex: same hotel, same date and same room type, same basis, same tax and service inclusions). The price match guarantee only applies to our internet rates and online bookings processed through our online reservation system. To be eligible, you must have had already prepaid your reservation online. Sun Dreams reserve the right to refuse any claim where we are unable to verify the claim to our satisfaction, in accordance with the above points. In the case of a confirmed booking becoming unavailable, we will endeavor to offer an alternative hotel at an equivalent standard and price, as close to your original hotel as possible. If this is not possible, or if you are not satisfied with the replacement hotel, we shall then refund you, the full amount paid towards your original booking with Sun Dreams Travel. All our hotels & properties have an online description which we advise all bookers to read prior to their arrival. The accommodation booked must only be used by those people named on the travel voucher. No one is allowed to share accommodation or let anyone else stay there without informing SunDreams Travel. If booking an ebs room for the periods between the 1st November till the 31st March, the full payment on your booking will be effected automatically on the same card used for the deposit on the 31st October. If booking an ebs room for the periods between the 1st April till the 31st October, the full payment on your booking will be effected automatically on the same card used for the deposit on the 30th April.

Flights

It is always safe to be at the airport 2 hours prior to flight departure time. It is recommended to reconfirm your flight timings with the airport or the airline before your departure. This is usually best done 2 days before your travel date. Baggage allowance on most airlines we use is standard for short haul flights within Europe to Malta and that is 20kg in luggage and up to 6kg in hand luggage unless otherwise specified. Most flight operators do not allow name changes on confirmed flight seats. However Air Malta, Ryan Air & EasyJet are exceptions to this and allow name changes subject to a rebooking fee and supplementary charges (being the difference in fare between the fare available on the day when the change is effected less the fare paid on booking).

Car Rental

When renting a car in all cases there is full comprehensive insurance included however in case of accident there will be an amount to pay in excess. You may always waive this excess upon booking the car through our system however if you don’t you will always be given the opportunity to waive this excess while picking your car up. In fact most delivery drivers will try and upsell this to you as insurance so make sure you are aware of what you are signing for. All traffic fines incurred during the renting a car will be your responsibility and will be charged directly on the credit card number given when signing the contract in Malta. Fuel charge is never included and is usually to be paid on signing of contract however some companies give the option to return the car with the same amount of fuel. In all cases it is your responsibility to read the contract in detail prior to signing.

Payment Terms

Individuals:

  • A 40% deposit (non refundable) has to be paid on reservation of any service to secure the booking.
  • Special offer flight seats are to be paid in full upon booking in order to secure the seat/s at the quoted fare.
  • Balance due on all other flight tickets, is to be effected 100 days prior to departure at which stage we will issue your tickets.
  • Balance due on all other services, is to be paid 21 days prior to departure.

Groups:

  • A 25% deposit (non refundable) has to be paid on reservation of any service to secure the booking.
  • Special offer flight seats are to be paid in full upon booking in order to secure the seat/s at the quoted fare.
  • Balance due on group flight tickets, is to be effected 100 days prior to departure at which stage we will issue your tickets.
  • Balance due on all other services, is to be paid 21 days prior to departure.

Payment methods for bookings confirmed with any of our reservation staff.

Payments can be effected:

By debit / credit card or Amex, in which case a bank service fee, of 2% if paid by debit / credit card (visa or master card) and 4% if paid by Amex will be applied on the total amount.

Via wire transfer, in which case our Bank details will be featured on the invoice.

By Paypal, in which case any transaction charges will be applied to you, and only the final amount received into our Paypal account will be credited from the invoice.
If the payment is not received when due or if our reservations staff will not be able to affect the payment, we have the right to cancel your reservation thus losing the deposit paid.

Supplements during the festive season

During the Christmas, New Years and Easter, compulsory festive season supplements may apply. The supplements are subject to the property on the board basis booked, being on selfcatering, bed & breakfast , half board, full board and all inclusive rates. The supplements are not included in the online rates and once we receive the booking we will confirm the supplement and get back to you by email for the authorisation of the payment.

Cancellation charges

In case of flights if cancellation occurs before ticket issue there will be a € 25 cancellation fee per ticket.
In case of flights if cancellation occurs within 100 days of arrival the cancellation fee shall be the full amount paid.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs before 28 days of arrival date, there will be a curtailment charge of 25% of booking total.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs from 28 to 8 days of arrival date, the cancellation fee shall be 40% of booking total.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs within 7 days of arrival date, the cancellation fee shall be 100% of booking total.

Our responsibility to you

We shall be responsible for making sure that each part of the holiday you book with us is provided to a reasonable standard and as described by us. If any part of your holiday is not provided as described by us we will offer you a satisfactory alternative. We have taken all reasonable care to make sure that all the services which make up the holidays quoted by us, shall be provided by efficient personnel, safe and reputable businesses, and that they are operated within the local national laws and regulations.

Personal Insurance

We always recommend arranging a suitable travel insurance coverage. This would avoid complications and provide you with cover in case you experience any of the following:

  • Loss of deposit, cancellations and curtailment charges
  • Loss of flight and flight delays
  • Medical and emergency expenses / Hospital benefit
  • Personal accident
  • Loss of baggage, money or any other personal belongings
  • Personal liability
  • Delayed departure

In whichever case Sundreams Travel always provides assistance to all of its customers.

Dealing with complaints

If you ever have a complaint about anything to do with your holiday arrangements, you are to report it to us immediately. It is always easier to sort things out on the spot when our representative can see and understand the exact nature of the problem. The most important thing is not to let any problem spoil your holidays.
