Securing your booking

To secure your reservation you must pay the minimum deposit required. Unless this is done the service package offered may become unavailable or the total price may rise. It is always recommended to secure the reservation of any service at the earliest as once this is done all the services that make up your purchase will be in turn blocked off under your name.

All rates quoted on www.sundreamstravel.com are inclusive of taxes and are applicable for online bookings, confirmed in real-time, with payment confirmation effected by credit card online or by bank transfer. For groups, events and package deals all online rates are based on availability and will be subject to a reconfirmation by one of our reservation staff. It is always recommended to plan at least 6 months in advance to secure our best rates.

All our prices are in Euro and must be settled in Euro in the full amount at the stipulated dates. Failure to settle funds in time may result in penalties or cancellation of such services.

Individual bookings:

A 40% deposit must be paid on reservation of any service to secure the booking.

Flight seats are to be paid in full upon booking to secure the seat/s at the quoted fare along with full names as on passport for all travelling passengers.

Balance due on all other services, is to be paid 21 days prior to departure.

Group bookings:

A 25% deposit must be paid within the stipulated date on reservation of any other service to secure the booking.

An additional €50 deposit per person must paid on booking to secure flights on flight inclusive packages.

Special offer flight seats are to be paid in full upon booking to secure the seat/s at the quoted fare.

Balance due on group flight tickets, is to be paid 60 days prior to departure along with full names as on passport for all travelling passengers.

Balance due on all other services, is to be paid 21 days prior to departure.

ECO TAX

From the 1st of June 2016, the Maltese Government has introduced a new ECO hotel tax. This applies to all guests travelling to Malta who are 18 years or older. The tax is payable directly at the hotel upon check in and it amounts to €0.50 per person per day, capped up to a maximum of €5 for the whole stay.

Cancellation Policy

In case of flight cancellation before full flight payment, there will be a €50 cancellation fee per ticket.

In case of flights cancellation after full flight payment, the cancellation fee shall be the full amount paid.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs before 46 days of arrival date, the cancellation fee shall be the 25% deposit paid.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs from 45 to 15 days of arrival date, the cancellation fee shall be 60% of the booking total.

For all other services, if cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival date, the cancellation fee shall be 100% of the total.

Amendment, change or extra service fees

Any amendments or changes made within 14 days before arrival will be subject to an additional service fee of €25 per person, per change.

If the client fails to adhere to the agreed booked arrangements, any extra services required will incur the full charge once again.

Terms and Conditions for Educational Student Groups

Preparation: As soon as the booking is confirmed, each student must fill in our Internship Form and set an appointment for a short interview with one of our internships experts.

Communication:

Throughout the booking process all exchanges are to be directed through one channel. Our designated sales representative shall communicate with the leader teacher/organizer only up until arrival.

Once the group arrives on the islands, a group leader will be designated. From there on, this person will be the sole and direct link for all communications regarding the services booked and all exchanges are to be processed through the group leader whether coming from students and / or accompanying teachers.

At all times communications must happen in this order of priority:

a) For simple enquiries whatsapp must be used

b) For complex inquiries, multiple inquiries or to report an incident, an email must be sent to the group leader in question, copying admin@sundreamstravel.com

c) Finally, only in extreme emergencies you may call your leader for support and assistance.

 

Terms and conditions when staying with a host family

· The rules of the household must be respected.

· The client and host must exchange contact information to liaise during the stay.

· The host must be advised of any allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions upon arrival.

· The student must not waste food and also pre advise the host (at least 24 hours prior) should they be delaying or missing any meals.

· If included in the booking package, the packed lunch must be collected after breakfast.

· In case of sickness, the client must inform the host immediately. Depending on the severity, the host will contact a doctor or the hospital. We must also be informed immediately though the group leader and by email on admin@sundreamstravel.com. Please note that fees apply for doctor’s visits.

· Clothes will be washed weekly by the host. Day and time for this service must be confirmed directly.

· For clients under the age of 18, it is not allowed to go out without an accompanying adult. The host will follow the program and ensure that the curfew is respected (9.30pm).

· For clients over 18, the host must be informed of the whereabouts and the time of return. In this case, we suggest applying a curfew of 11pm during weekdays and 12:30am during weekends. Should the teacher and or/parents want to take the responsibility to let their children out later than these curfews, we would need a written consent and signed disclaimer. We recommend that curfew times don’t go beyond 1am.

· The room and the house must be kept tidy.

· Any damages should be reported directly to the host family and the group leader in writing. Damaged items will need to be fixed or replaced and these fees will have to be covered by the student responsible.

· Any changes to booking or additional requests must be dealt with through the group leader and service fees will apply.

· Shared room entails: twin, triple or quadruple. The room might be shared with other students, but all beds are single beds.

· In case the student is not satisfied with the accommodation, the group leader must be informed immediately. The host family manager will do his/her best to settle the situation. If the matter cannot be solved, we will do our utmost to offer you an alternative family.

· Please be cautious with the water and electricity usage. Don’t waste or use excessive amounts of water and switch off lights and appliances when not in use.

· Beach towels are not provided, and towels given by the host must not be taken outside.

· Communication in English with the host is always preferred.
