Sutton School Group

23rd May till 28th May

On the first day, Sutton school group, spent the morning at a very nice Sport Club where the students could enjoy some tennis and cricket training with qualified coaches. Lunch was enjoyed in a nice park in Valletta, where they enjoyed a lovely picnic, overlooking the Marsamxett Harbour with great views of the Sliema. Afterwards, they enjoyed a short sightseeing through the capital city, seeing St John’s Cathedral from the outside and the picturesque Upper Barrakka Gardens, where everyone could admire the beautiful views of the Three cities. After they returned to the Sport Club, where the cricket team played an internal fixture and the tennis players played against local players.

The program on the following day was very similar, with the exception of lunch, which happened in the charming city of Birgu one of the three cities. They stopped in a green park next to the harbour. The place was very nice, they really loved it there and afterwards went for a short walk by the harbour. On the next day, they had their last training in the morning and went back to Birgu as the students and the teacher really liked this place. They took some time to buy souvenirs and did a short sightseeing walk through the charming narrow streets of Birgu with their typical Maltese colourful balconies. Afterwards, they had their last fixtures and the cricket players received some souvenirs of Malta. At the end of the day, they went to San Paul's Bay, where they enjoyed a dinner by the sea.

Finally, on their last day, in the morning they left to Cirkewwa harbour, where they took a power boat to the beautiful Comino Island. Here they enjoyed a nice swim in the stunning blue lagoon, after their leader led them to a quieter beach called Santa Maria Bay. The power boats picked them up from here, then the captain manouvered inside some natural caves on the coastline on the way back. On return to the hotel, they enjoyed lunch, and then headed to a lovely venue with a pool and beach volley pit in Pembroke. Some of them played beach volley, while others chilled and played in the swimming pool. The tour ended with a delicious BBQ by the pool and karaoke. This was the best way to end this fabulous trip enjoyed greatly by all.
