Amery High School visited Malta for a four-day netball and football tour filled with adventure and engaging sporting encounters. The tour began with a trip to Valletta, where the group had the opportunity to visit the Malta 5D Expo, which provides a detailed history of the Maltese islands, and explore the city's shopping areas to buy some souvenirs.
While sightseeing was on the agenda, the main purpose of Amery High School's visit to Malta was the sports tour. The tour included a netball group of U14 girls and a football group of U14 boys and girls. The Amery High School football and netball teams competed against local teams in some exciting and entertaining matches. The local teams were very welcoming, and all the games were turned into small events with snacks for the players and the attending crowd.
The group also visited one of Malta's best beaches, Riviera Beach, where they played games on the sand and enjoyed a relaxing day. The tour concluded with a harbor cruise, where they visited all the harbors and learned about their history. Before heading to the airport, the group spent their remaining hours shopping in Sliema.
Overall, the experience was a positive one for the students of Amery High School, and we look forward to welcoming them again to this beautiful, sunny island.
