Blesssed with great weather, picnicing in Malta is very popular and very often Maltese set up for the day at one of the many fascinating backdrops. During these events, Maltese normally enjoy fresh local food, outdoors. “Hobz Biz-Zejt”is one of the most popular snacks in Malta. The name is coming from the most common basic food available on the islands in the older times, being bread and olive oil. This has evolved through the years and a Traditional Maltese “Ftira Biz-Zejt” now includes many other fresh and aged ingredients. Still very much a local favourite, our chef has taken this into the next level. Join one of our Maltese picnic experiences.

We select all our ingredients from the best available local produce to bring you an unmatched picnic experience. You will get to taste several local delicasies combined together to perfection. Some foods included are “bigilla”, peppered goat cheese, local olives, fresh tuna, fresh goat cheese, salted tomotoes, capers and many others. On the side you will get the best local “Ftira” and water biscuits. Fresh fruit and local soft drinks, wine and beer are also included.

The Maltese picnic is normally setup in one of the local public parks

Depending on weather, we also take you for a nice walk in the country side prior to the picnic. Very often we use one of our own trails in the West coast of the island. The view and the picture opportunities will already be enough to please your senses. The delicous picnic tops it up, a true expereince for all senses awaits.

An unmatched culinary experience during our Maltese picnic

The trip includes pick up from your accommodation and transfer to location, which depending on weather, could be a park, a cliff top or a beach. During the trip you will also go on a short walk though the Maltese country side. A vast array of local ingredients will be combined and featured in buffet style. The picnic includes fresh fruit and is accompanied by water, soft drinks, wine and local beer.
